Luck, magic, and music will fill the air on March 10, 2012, at the Brea Historical Society's Casino Night Dinner and Silent Auction.  Guests will feast on a gourmet barbecue dinner prepared by Stonefire Grill.  Poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps will be played on Las Vegas-style casino tables.  Cash in your winnings for an opportunity to win big ticket raffle prizes!

You'll be dazzled by Master of Illusion Kevin Viner, a Southern California magician who headlines at Hollywood's Magic Castle.  Viner will stroll among the tables performing close-up magic.  Keeping the evening hopping will be the number one swing band in Orange County, the Swing Cats Big Band, accompanied by the Swing Kittens.  Fabulous items will be featured in the silent auction.

On March 24, from 10:00AM to 12:00, Veta Schlimgen, Director of the Brea Museum, will teach a class on preserving photographs.  Participants will learn how to handle, care for, identify, and preserve photos and they will also preserve their photos with archival supplies and in digital format. The cost of the class is $20. Participants should bring three to five photos with them.
